Week 22 - Color of My Life

It was a very lovely Friday morning.  After our morning mass, ate some breakfast and head to the park.  Packed with gadgets full, me and husband dear wanted to get some shots of our favorite subject.  We just love him.  Every bit of him.

He loves the slide and looks like he ate a bag of chocolate on his own.  So hyper!

Shots edited by husband dear.

Week 21 - They Are Engaged!

This started off as a night photoshoot at Heritage Park in Tourist Club Area, Abu Dhabi.  We managed to get a lot of cool shots but the couple decided it will be fun to have a morning sunrise at the Lake Park.  I'd have to say, both of them are "game" in anything.  They will be married April 2011.

And to highlight their engagements, these are my favorites from their session.

Week 20 - All Blacks

Alright, this baby is really gorgeous.  I thought I'd feature him again on my weekly blog.

ALL BLACKS in New Zealand and the United Kingdom have plenty to look forward to. Here's a photo of Baby J aged 2 months.  From the looks of him, he's already has the makings of a good front row player.  Look at his body, his built, the muscles, the aura and most importantly,,,, his looks in the ALL BLACKS jersey.

And  "Because his mum is an All Blacks fan, and his dad is an All Blacks fan, so he's an All Blacks fan too!" For sure, in around 15 years time..... he can be the MVP for ALL BLACKS team.

Week 19 - Gorgeous Family

Raynan and I got some chance to meet new people around Abu Dhabi. I have been wanting to share this gorgeous family for some time.  I just couldn’t narrow it down to only a few images for the week's entry.  They are so so gorgeous and really wonderful family.

Look at Baby A, how nice and natural he smiles on the camera.

Totally handsome from a different angle.

How sweet the father is to his son,

And caring mom to a lucky boy...

Aren't they a gorgeous family to spent time with?

Thank you for sharing your adorable boy with us.  I know we’ll see you all again.

Week 18 - I'm A Muscle Man

I am SUPER swamped from the Eid holidays.  I’ve loved every moment spent with family.  And I couldn’t be happier meeting some good family around Abu Dhabi too.  They welcomed us in their home and seeing their cute little boy got me so excited for this week’s photo project.
So to save some time on chitchats, I’m going to be posting a “mini” sneak peeks of our session.  Look at this “cool” pose!!

I hope to see this macho little boy again soon to document more of his life!!  So love the picture!

Week 17 - Pit Lane

Had a great weekend spending time with my son.  I took half of my day off from office.  We went to the Pit Lane Walk last Thursday 3pm directly after a short visit to our embassy here in Abu Dhabi.  So what's special about the Pit Lane,  Albert got a chance to see the team garages and the drivers up close.  Although he doesn't really care about them and clueless who they are, I know he enjoyed our day trip.  Doesn't it show from his face??  He was running all the way, touching it and exploring all what comes in his mind.

I took this shot and my husband dear did the processing.  Good stuff isn't it?

Week 16 - Like Mother, Like Daughter

This beautiful lady and her equally gorgeous mother is my Week 16.  Ms. S and her daughter A were so much fun to photograph!  We spent time in their house, just having a few laughs.  It was so nice to give them some ‘Like Mother, Like Daughter” shots for A's birthday.

Ms. S said she was not planning on being photographed but as soon as I saw how stunning and lovely dovey she was, I knew I had to take some portraits with her included!  As a result, some touching mother and daughter images, as well as many individual images of just her sweet little girl now a lady.  For more of both of them, visit my People's Page on Studio.

I can't wait to photograph more of them!  Here are two BEAUTIFUL and easy to photograph people I've endountered.  This mom was so kind and wonderful, so sweet and genuine with her daughter.  I could have photographed them all night!

Week 15 - Candid Canine

Here goes a new set of pet photography for my weekly project.  So what's special about it?  Me and Raynan spent the day with my Image N' Techniks friends who were up for the heat on the Strays of Abu Dhabi (SAD) Dog Day.  Although it was a hot day for all, we all had fun photographing pet lovers and canine.

We had planned for a "studio" fun shoot but later on cancelled the set up.  We did not anticipate the wind that day.  We tried to set up our improvise studio however decided to just keep on shooting candidly with the participants and canine.  We have lots of lessons learned during the event.  Much to our expectations, all in all we did had a good time.

Watch out for more of Image N' Techniks candid canine shots on their blog (http://imagentechniksblog.blogspot.com/).  Here's two of my shots from the show.

Week 14 - Twin Treasures

Well it has been pretty busy this week.  Lots of errands to do after office for the upcoming SAD Dog Day.  However have been very lucky last Thursday.  I had the pleasure of spending time with a new found friend, K.  And the bonus is  having the perfect little models for the week.  M and J are twin treasures.  What I love about the twins is how they naturally cuddle each other.  There are times in the shoot they were swatting at each other's faces but for the most part they go into a cozy slumber together.

So how did I photograph the twins? Well, I've prepared lots and send K some of newborn poses I like.  And to add up on the excitement,  K knows photography too.  I just crossed fingers she'd like what I did.

For the lighting, as much as I wanted to have a natural light.  It just didn't happen as the shoot was done in the evening.  So here goes my oldschool speedlight coming in handy.  I positioned the twins at a 45 degree angle, with their heads facing the light.  I like the light to fall over their face and throw soft shadows.

Timing the shots are very important.  The twins didn't move much but they subtly change their position and expressions in ways.  I had my camera set in continuous shooting mode because I find shooting single frame missing some good moments to capture.  However careful not to annoy the twins with the flash.  Eitherway, I've ended up with some wonderful sequences of shots by shooting off three or four shots in a row.

Well all goes and numerous clicks from my camera.  I had difficulty putting it down as I love photographing the twins.  M was a darling and J were the natural.  I bet these two are going to grow up and be best of friends.  Imagine more fun with them, they are identical twins.
